The boom in the caravanning industry is continuing – and Bürstner, the motorhome and caravan manufacturer from Baden/Alsace is benefiting, too. In the 2016/2017 fiscal year, the company sold about 10,200 leisure vehicles, around 75% of which were motorhomes and caravans.
Kehl (26/6/2017): Thanks to new models and innovative concepts, Bürstner was able to use fa-vourable market conditions, significantly increasing again in all segments by the end of the 2017 fiscal year that will draw to a close on 31 August 2017. Jens Kromer, CEO, was more than happy with this development. “It was worth it for us to concentrate on our core competencies again and consistently improve our existing series in addition to new models. Furthermore, we keep optimis-ing and expanding synergies within the Erwin Hymer Group.”
#wohnfühlen with Bürstner
Parallel to the success in operational activities, Jens Kromer and his team invested a lot of time over the past year to further develop the core and the message of the company’s brand. “In #wohnfühlen, we concentrate the entire Bürstner story in one word“, explained Kromer. “We want to create unique living spaces for people who love to travel with their motorhome or caravan. Everyone should feel at home in our vehicles, right from the beginning. We summarise this feeling which is typical for Bürstner with the term #wohnfühlen.”
The harmonious interior design of our leisure vehicles plays a very particular role there. Based on the “Harmony” study for living culture, which was presented by the company in late summer 2016 for the first time, Bürstner offers different models as a Harmony Line for the 2018 season. They feature special design elements and enhanced standard equipment.
Numerous 2018 models are now equipped with matching colour concepts, recurring materials and clever ergonomics. Jens Kromer: “Every Bürstner owner should be able to both see and feel the quality of the Bürstner brand!”
New 2018 models
The integrated motorhomes Lyseo I and Ixeo I, the Harmony Line series as well as the Argos Al-cove model – the list of new Bürstner models for 2018 is long. Additionally, the Travel Van, Nexxo Time and Ixeo Time “Edition 30” models are now available with the Citroen low-frame chassis as standard.
Then there are also the Premio Plus and Averso Plus caravans which have undergone an overall upgrade to integrate them into the existing product families. (Please find more information about these models in our separate press releases.)
Investment in the future
In addition to developing new models and further developing existing series, Bürstner invests around 10 million Euros in the modernisation of the Kehl and Wissembourg production sites in 2017.
