Ixeo Class – less weight for more room to enjoy a sense of comfort and well-being
The Ixeo class convinces thanks to the wide variety of well thought-out floor plans featuring lots of room to enjoy a sense of comfort and well-being – with a total weight of only 3.5 t. Even the largest models, such as the it 726 G measuring 7.39 metres in length and featuring a rear garage, do not exceed this important registration limit.
The lighter AL-KO chassis makes this possible. You also have more leeway when loading: you can take approx. 100 kg more luggage with you on your trip than with comparable floor plans without an AL-KO chassis.
Bed making made easy
Unlike integrated motorhomes that have a folddown bed above the cab, the fold-down bed in the Ixeo class is located above the seating area.
In just a few manual steps or electrically as an optional extra (depending on the model), the ceiling is lowered, giving way to two fullsize berths.
After waking up the ceiling can be raised again, thus making the entire living area available once again. The bedding and pillows simply disappear under the slightly curved roof of the vehicle.
Safe and manoeuvrable on all roads
Some models in the Ixeo class have the Fiat Ducato low-frame chassis with a wide-track rear axle, while others have the lighter AL-KO low-frame chassis with a wide track. Both improve road performance in many ways: the lower centre of gravity allows the vehicle to stay firmly on the road and minimises vehicle rocking when quickly changing direction.
It can thus be easily manoeuvred through winding terrain. A full air suspension system is also optionally available for the AL-KO front and rear axles, which increases driving comfort even further.
Sleek and efficient on the road
The comparably low total height of only 2.75 m (2.85 m in the Ixeo plus) as well as its flowing, aerodynamic design give the Ixeo class top marks when it comes to wind resistance. Not only is the engine power used more efficiently, thus lowering fuel consumption, but sensitivity to lateral wind as well as wind noise are also reduced. These are the basic prerequisites for a pleasant holiday journey – even over long distances.
