Travellounge®

With the Travellounge® Bürstner has developed and patented a completely new type of seating construction for motorhomes. Up until now, seating solutions in the living area were always something of a compromise. Seating that seemed comfortable when the vehicle was stationary became less so when the vehicle was in motion. Narrow armrests and above all the angles between the seat and the backrest gave back-seat passengers only minimal body support. In contrast, contoured seats allowed for relaxed posture when eating at the table in the motorhome’s dining area. Under the name "Travellounge®", Bürstner has now constructed an adjustable bench for many 2006 models, where the angles can be adjusted manually. There are three possible seat positions.

Whereas a flatter angle to the backrest improves lateral support and efficiency of the standard automatic safety belts on the move, say when the driver brakes sharply or during an accident, when the vehicle is static a steeply angled backrest is more comfortable. When the backrest is adjusted, the seat cushion extends in the direction of travel so that the thighs have a larger area on which to rest. This seating is a standard feature in many top models in the Elegance range, and can also be ordered separately for a surcharge for many other models
